Facebook gives you the option to share posts that catch your fancy while Twitter has its retweet option; but what about Instagram? I don’t see any option to take someone else’s post and share it to my personal feed. The app design doesn’t allow “repost”, so Insta users have had to work around the bush and use apps for reposting on Instagram to share content that they like with their friends.
Even though Insta users can add a post to their own story, it only works when the post is from a public account. Users can share a public post to their story by hitting the paper airplane icon and selecting “add post to your story.” By tapping the post, users can choose whether they want to include a caption or not. However, sharing an actual post is a whole different story.
To repost on Instagram, users often screenshot the post that they want to share and then add it to their story. But a far more efficient way is to look up third-party social media apps for reposting on Instagram and download the one that suits you.
If you are looking for best apps for reposting on Instagram, this is where we come in. Let’s take a look at five of my favorite apps for reposting on Instagram. Before digging into the best apps, I would recomend learning some hacks for instagram growth.
1. Repost via Instant
Repost via Instant lets you repost videos and photos directly from Instagram, but it also gives credit to the original Instagrammer. Instant comes with a listener feature and provides an overlay pop-up, including a notification, that will appear at the center of the screen. Being one of the best apps for reposting on Instagram, it displays posts containing more than one video or photo as a side-scrolling list, so you can choose which ones you want to save for reposting, or you can even share the post to a different app.
Since it lets you sort the posts by albums, this tool also acts as an organizer. Even though the posts can be watermarked in the free version, you can buy the premium version of this app for $4.99 which offers a few additional features pertaining to watermarks. The only downside is that the listener service can be hard to get rid of, and may require you to “Force stop” the app.
2. Regrann – Repost for Instagram
This amazing repost app is equipped with a lot of bonus extras, in addition to standard features, which Insta followers appreciate. For instance, look at its Repost Later option, which lets you bookmark posts for when you wish to repost. The app allows you to copy an Instagram link and lets you choose from “Quick repost”, “Quick Save”, or “Quick Post Later” options from a pop-window that opens; all without having to leave the Instagram app. These three options are also available as separate modes.
By the way, this reposting app also helps a bit to gain more followers on Instagram, which in turn can boost your business. Many influencers on Insta are using this app to grow their IG account. Here you can learn more ways on how to get more followers in instagram free.
What we love most about the app is that even though it has an inbuilt listener service like other apps for reposting on Instagram on our list, this feature can be turned off if and whenever you want. Regrann – Repost for Instagram lets you decide whether you want to keep or remove the username watermark, allows you to copy captions, and even lets you add a signature over the caption.
This app is currently free and can be downloaded for both Android and iOS. However, keep in mind that posts with videos or images cannot be saved with the Quick Post Later mode, but can be directly saved to your phone storage.
3. InstaRepost
This is one of the oldest Instagram reposting apps that has carved quite a niche within the Instagram community, even though it is only available for android. The app lets you copy the Instagram links for directly downloading or reposting them. However, what really stands out about the app is the fact that it incorporates a built-in editor that allows you to edit the captured posts – add text, drawings, emojis, or stickers over the original post.
Even better, InstaRepost makes it possible to not just repost Instagram posts, but also share them across other networks such as Pinterest, Whatsapp, or Facebook. It’s not hard to see why this app is so popular with Android users. You can either make do with the free version or upgrade to a paid-subscription service if you are a hardcore poster to get rid of the multiple reposts limitation, annoying ads, and the nuisance of a watermark!
4. Tailwind For Instagram
Tailwind is an online computer program that packs a bunch of powerful features in addition to reposting; be it scheduling your posts, performing hashtag research, or viewing detailed analytics, in addition to a host of other features. While Tailwind comes for a price, its intuitive interface makes up for the cost by helping you plan, grow, and manage your Instagram account. You need to use your computer for reposting Instagram content online from Tailwind. Not to mention, it only lets you regram single photos, rather than multiple images or videos.
5. Save And Repost For Instagram
When we talk about the best apps for reposting on Instagram, we cannot finish off the list without mentioning “save and repost for Instagram.” This app saves posts you copy the links to and compiles them in the form of a customizable grid. You can save, repost, or share the posts to other apps from the main screen of the app. The app gives you great control over the listener service, in-app advertisements, and notifications too.
The Premium plans start at $9.99/month, packing a host of stellar features like “Cloud Backup” of all your local posts, so that you get to keep your archive after switching devices. The only downside is that the app only copies links to posts containing a single image. It returns with an error if you copy link to a post incorporating multiple videos/images.
